Job Overview
As a Patient Service Coordinator, you will be the face of our dental practice, responsible for delivering excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth patient experience. Your primary focus will be on coordinating patient appointments, managing administrative tasks, and supporting the overall operations of the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures.
- Manage patient appointments efficiently, ensuring optimal scheduling for both the patients and the dental practitioners.
- Verify dental insurance benefits and educate patients on how their insurance policy will affect their appointments.
- Serve as the main point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries via phone, email, or in-person interactions, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, manage patient files, and handle administrative tasks such as patient registration, insurance verification, and billing processes.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow, assist in treatment plan coordination, and follow up on patient appointments and referrals.
- Explain treatment costs, process insurance claims, and assist patients with financial arrangements and payment plans when necessary.
Experience
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in a customer service or related role.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus.
- Proficiency in using office software and basic computer skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and empathetic approach towards patients.
