Patient Care Coordinator/Technician
We are a non-franchise, non-big box, independent, family-owned Hearing Healthcare Practice. We are looking for a proven and talented individual to join us in our Ocala FL location who wants to ensure coordination of Patient Care and hearing device cleaning and support. Our patient centric approach is second to none and we are looking for individuals who share and embrace that passion to join our team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Phone answering & scheduling using audiological CRM/EMR specific system.
Greet all patients in a friendly manner, seeking referrals.
Understand current marketing promotions.
Review and confirm schedules are accurate and time is properly allocated.
Follow up on all referrals to ensure no care gaps.
Work with insurance to determine patient specific coverage and understand current HIPAA laws.
Conduct credit application calls with vendors as needed.
Work with Audiologists to ensure excellent Patient Care and exceed monthly office goals.
If currently licensed in FL, perform clean & checks on hearing aids, other amplification devices & accessories.
Troubleshoot and address minor repairs to hearing aids, earmolds, other amplification devices & accessories as permitted by current licensing status.
Perform electroacoustic analysis of hearing aids and other amplification devices, as permitted by current licensing status.
Instruct patients in proper use & care of hearing aids, other amplification devices & accessories, as permitted by current licensing status.
Assist patients with Bluetooth connectivity setup and troubleshooting for devices.
Help establish connections with local physicians and host outreach events.
Cooperation in marketing campaigns and willingness to put forth effort to grow the practice.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Licensed & Credentialled Audiology Technician License, Preferred or willingness & desire to obtain.
Computer experience required.
At least one-year relevant experience and/or training.
EMR experience preferred.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments.
Knowledge and understanding of hearing aid products and service required.
Passionate about helping people hear better.
