Patient Care Coordinator/Receptionist

The Heaston and Thompson Vision Clinic is looking for new team members!! We are a busy, fast paced, team oriented Optometry practice who enjoy taking care of our patients. We provide on the job training and look for team members who have a love of learning.

Some of your job duties:

- Answering phone calls and managing the phone system efficiently
- Scheduling patient appointments and managing the appointment calendar
- Greeting patients and checking them in upon arrival
- Collecting and updating patient information in the electronic medical records system (Maximeyes, Weave)
- Assisting with medical receptionist duties, such as verifying insurance information and collecting co-pays and balances due
- Providing administrative support to healthcare professionals and staff
- Ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Collaborating with other departments within the medical office, such as the ER, to coordinate Patient Care effectively

Experience:

- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a front desk administrative role is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, such as Maximeyes, is a plus
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
