Patient Care Coordinator/Receptionist

Cascade Family Eye Care has an opening for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team!

Our office consists of one Optometrist and four other team members who proudly serve the Lake Stevens community, offering every patient the absolute best in vision care. We are committed to excellent Patient Care and exceptional customer service. We strive to serve our community with compassion and respect.

Essential Functions:

· Welcoming incoming patients with an inviting personality
· Obtaining patient demographic, financial, and clinical information
· Answering, screening, and forwarding incoming phone calls with exceptional phone etiquette
· Scheduling appointments; catering to patient needs while maintaining the clinic schedule
· Answering patient inquiries via phone, e-mail, or online communication portal with the highest level of professionalism
· Verifying and retrieving insurance information and benefit details
· Creating invoices, collecting payments, and submitting vision claims
· Documenting, faxing, scanning, and distributing protected health information
· Partnering with all members of the team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

· Customer service in healthcare preferred, but not required
· High School Diploma

Candidate must be able to work all hours of clinic operation:
Monday: 9:00AM – 6:00PM (Lunch: 12:30PM – 1:00PM)
Tuesday: 8:00AM – 5:00PM (Lunch: 12:30PM – 1:00PM)
Wednesday: 8:00AM – 5:00PM (Lunch: 12:30PM – 1:00PM)
Thursday: 8:00AM – 5:00PM (Lunch: 12:30PM – 1:00PM)
Friday: 8:00AM – 12:30PM
Saturday: CLOSED
Sunday: CLOSED

This position is full-time. Starting salary ($18-20/ hour determined by candidate qualifications and experience) with the opportunity for monthly production bonuses. Other benefits include employee discounts, paid sick leave, paid holidays, and paid time off after first 6 months of employment.
