Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival at the medical office
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of provider's time
- Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow-up appointments as needed
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation of medical history
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal Patient Care
- Provide administrative support such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of medical administrative processes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus
- Familiarity with insurance verification and billing procedures
