Patient Advocate

Responsibilities:

• Great patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Monitor AR balances and take steps for collection efforts
• Coordinate with Medical Billings, Front Desk, and Coding to complete tasks
• Answering phones, directing calls, patient handling
• Assertive and tactful co-pay, deductible, co-insurance, and patient balance collection on all account
• Data entry, update patient demographic for statements
• Generate patient or account letters based on account status
• Respond to staff messages and emails
• Document all activity in accordance with established workflows
• Escalate issues to supervisor as needed
• Work as a team with other staff members in order to provide the best possible customer service and workplace efficiency
• Remain flexible for cross training
• Occasionally take on tasks outside the normal scope of practice
• Observe, identify, and do what is needed to move us forward in a way that best represents who we are as an organization
• Other duties as needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our Organization's Values

Location: Texarkana, TX (Not a remote position)

Hours: M - F 8 - 5

Pay: $15 & up (Depending on Experience)

We are a fast-paced environment looking for applicants capable of multi-tasking and high attention to detail. This position requires a great deal of patience and a caring heart. Must be comfortable on computers with excellent customer service. The ability to be thorough, courteous, and prioritize is at the top of the list for the position.
