SalaryPrivate pathology lab includes Data Entry positions for specimen processing. The Data Entry positions require specific computer/Data Entry skills and thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
- Ability to work independently with the current Data Entry group in a busy setting
- Daily handle of contained chemicals, human tissue and fluid
- Daily Data Entry of various accession types
- Ability to type efficiently and accurately with little to no errors
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve requisition and specimen bottle issues
- Perform Data Entry quality control to ensure accuracy
- Respond to phone calls, emails and other requests
Qualifications:
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal to no errors
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize with high attention to detail
- Must work well in a group setting as well as independently
- Professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Typing experience is required
- Medical terminology is extremely helpful
Hours: 10:30 am - 7:30 pm or 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm availability - schedule may vary based on training, workload and staffing.
