What We are Looking For…
TCPA is searching for a talented individual to add to our Payroll Department. We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Minimum two years of payroll experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Experience with ADP, Paychex, or Accountants World is preferred but not required.
- Excellent Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills.
What You will Be Doing…
- Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating, and entering data using payroll software
- Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions, and saving deductions
- Calculating payroll liabilities by determining employee tax liability, including federal and state income and social security tax. Calculating employer obligations, such as social security tax, Medicare tax, unemployment tax, and worker’s compensation insurance.
- Entering and reporting accurate employee fringe benefits.
- Reviewing payroll information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Preparing payroll reports to include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave and non-taxable wages, etc.
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee/employer payroll queries.
- Maintaining all payroll operations according to firm policies and procedures
- Processing and issuing W-2 forms to employees.
- Processing and issuing 1099 forms to contractors.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
