Jewish HomeLife is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team!!! Paychex experience is preferred.
Summary: The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll for all entities of Jewish HomeLife.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years’ experience processing payroll is a must.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi entity Payroll functions.
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent computer skills are required with emphasis on ability to learn new programs such as Paychex Payroll processing.
- Intermediate EXCEL and WORD skills required.
- Accuracy in work a must.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to handle pressure of continuous deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize duties.
- Accounts Payable experience a plus to assist with various financial processing procedures.
Responsibilities:
Payroll:
- Prepares and transmit bi-weekly payroll using Paychex software.
- Monitors time and attendance reports; reporting exceptions/errors/problems to appropriate supervisor on a timely basis.
- Coordinates all payroll deductions/withholdings/garnishments; processes garnishment withholding timely.
- Prepares supplemental manual payroll checks as needed.
- Maintains all payroll registers and payroll related files.
- Create and manage payroll related reports.
- Works with HR to manage employee files, status and payroll changes.
- Assist the controller with year-end audits.
Additional Duties:
- Reports yearly wage changes to Life Insurance carrier, Long-term Disability Insurance carrier, and Pension Plan.
- Follows all Jewish Home Life Communities and Business Office policies and procedures.
- Other duties as delegated by Supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibility: No supervisory responsibility.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds; ability to sit for 80% of the day; ability to stand for long periods of time as needed (i.e. for events, etc.).
Mental Requirements: Ability to focus for extensive period of time on data, letter writing and other administrative duties. Requires mental acuity and ability to interact with management, donating patrons, and staff.

Pay: Up to $55,000.00 per year
