We are looking to fill a Payroll & Benefits Specialistrole at our home office located in Griffin, GA.
Payroll responsibilities include collecting and reviewing employee information and hours worked, calculating wages, preparing, and processing employee payments, maintaining accurate payroll records and garnishments and compilation of client reports.
Benefits responsibilities include assisting in benefits eligibility reports, benefits open enrollment, medical support notices, leave of absence reporting.
To be successful the specialist should be able to investigate and resolve issues and ensure strict compliance with company standards. An outstanding Specialist should also have excellent people skills and a high numerical aptitude.
Responsibilities:

• Preparing and processing payroll including collecting timesheets and payroll information, entering data into payroll software programs, calculating, and initializing wages, benefits and other deductions as needed.
• Maintaining accurate records of payroll and benefits documentation and transactions.
• Responding to payroll and benefits related inquiries and resolving concerns.
• Set up and respond to Garnishment and Medical Support orders.
• Other administrative duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED.
• Degree in accounting, business, or a related field desirable.
• Experience working in payroll, benefits, or similar role.
• Working knowledge of basic payroll, benefits.
• Experience working with payroll software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• High numerical aptitude.
• Detail-oriented.
