Part Time Office Clerk - Gibson Center

Description

Vincennes University is seeking applicants for the Office Clerk position. This is a part-time clerical staff position located at the VU Gibson Center site.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a highly efficient aand organized office environment
• Provide accurate information on phone, via email and in person to the public
• Maintain confidentiality in the work environment
• Set up and maintain files and systems of organization both electronically and via hard copy; basic computing
• Meet deadlines associated with the academic calendar and University policies
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in busy office environment, multitasking
• Ability to maintain orderly work environment, overall excellent organizational skills
• Experience working with diverse clientele
• Proficient in Windows 11 environment, Internet applications, Microsoft Office Suite,
• Ability to learn and proficiently apply a variety of computer applications specific to the work environment
• Quick learner, ability to mentally organize, create solutions “on the spot” as well as long-term
• Understanding of academic degree requirements and a knowledge of requirements for degree completion
• Knowledge of university degree programs, policies, procedures and resources, preferred
• Friendly, outgoing, respectville attitude
