Summary
The Production Schedule Clerk accurately update and maintain all retail production department orders and inventories, assist production office through daily communication with supply planners regarding orders and scheduling issues, and to track analyze daily order compliance. The scheduling clerk will also be trained to back up scheduling coordinator when required.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Daily scheduling of all retail production on location and investigation of all major shrink and swell issues.
- Daily communication with corporate scheduling and planning to ensure order accuracy.
- Twice daily production of accurate daily production and shipping needs lists for retail customer orders.
- Frequent verbal communications to department managers as to production status or orders/trucks and telephone communication to the supply planners as to product availability are required on as needed basis.
- Train new associates for back up on an as needed basis for the scheduling clerk position.
- Track and report daily compliance and production for all retail departments.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Education
High School or equivalent
Experience Requirements
0 to 2 years. Knowledge of standard software applications, such as Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Experience Preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- SAP/CFS Experience
- Strong reading, communication, math, writing and analytical skills.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
- May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
- Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
- When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
