Job Description
Braden Property Management seeks a part-time Bookkeeper to handle the day-to-day bookkeeping of our portfolio of homes around the Charlottesville area. - Property level bookkeeping: A/R, A/P
- Short-term rental bookkeeping: A/R, A/P, recurring bills, document scanning and coding
- Process Tenant charges and credits, including security deposit accounting, repair/damage chargebacks, utility charges, minimum insurance, refund application fees
- Ensure management fees and renewal/leasing fees are calculated properly
- Follow up with tenants in arrears, sending Pay-Or-Quit notices
- Prepare vendor batches for Property Accountant Approval
- Work with property management team to obtain approval on bills
- Prepare and send Monthly Owner Statements & Correspondence
- Document management, storage and coding of bills, insurance records, and 1099s
- Assistance monitoring incoming phone calls from vendors, owners, and residents.
- Other tasks relevant to property management and bookkeeping
- Assist Property Accountant with property level bookkeeping
- Experience with AppFolio and Quickbooks is a plus. Experience with other property management software will also be helpful
