We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual proficient in QuickBooks on-line, to join our team as a part-time Bookkeeper, eight flexible hours a week. This position requires a high level of concentration and the team member must be able to communicate effectively with other employees and executives. The ideal candidate will be friendly, self-sufficient and capable of multitasking quickly and effectively. Hours are flexible, but Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon is required for 2-3 hours. This is a hybrid position, allowing the team member to work from home other times. Associates degree, Bachelors degree or non-profit bookkeeping experience required.
Responsible for:
- Payroll processing using a third party service
- Accounts Payable
- Recording deposits
- Maintaining online pledging system using third party servicer
- Issuing member statements
- Preparing monthly financial statements
- Working with Treasurer on pledge analysis
- Updating Fund Balances both quarterly and annually
- Making appropriate annual Fund Balance journal entries
- Candidate should have:
- *1-3 years QuickBooks Online experience
- *Thorough understanding of Fund Accounting
- *BS Accounting or equivalent degree or associates degree with nonprofit experience
- *Key requirements: confidentiality, personal interactions, timeliness, flexibility.
- Non-profit experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
