SUMMARY

Assist's in the day to do operations of the accounting office and warehouse in a clerical role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Maintain and reconcile the daily routes of cash received from the daily sale of parts.
  • Maintain the credit card customer database with current information.
  • Process credit card payments.
  • Clear and concise communications with parts director, and colleague, including keeping the parts director appraised as to missing routes and missing funds.
  • Assist with other functions regarding receivables (help with monthly statement, getting invoices and credit memos for customers).
  • Organize daily COD invoices in route order.
  • Take incoming customer calls for credit card payments.
  • Respond to all voicemail and email messages.
  • Files all completed paperwork as needed.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction standards.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Keeps work area clean.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • No prior experience or training.
  • Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid Driver's License

Environmental conditions include circumstances of weather, heat, cold, wet, fumes, electricity, explosive materials, and vibration
