Job Overview:
As a Parks and Recreation Manager, you'll be responsible for managing and overseeing the maintenance and activities in the communities' parks and fitness center.
Your Responsibilities:
- To schedule, plan and oversee special events in the parks;
- Oversees the maintenance of the park amenities to include: bocce courts, tennis courts, pickelball courts, softball fields, soccer fields, dog park, basketball courts, disc golf, children's playground, concession stands, pavilions and amphitheater.
- Oversees the maintenance and equipment in the fitness center;
- Coordinates sports activities vendors to include proper insurance and contracts;
- Schedules all sporting events reservations in the parks;
- Schedules all private party events in the parks;
- Keep and update frequently the community's parks calendar;
- Updates policies and procedures in the parks and fitness center;
- Creates and oversees marketing for all Park and fitness center activities to include producing flyers, brochures and keeping social media sites up-to-date on all upcoming events.
- Assist Lifestyle Director and Water Park Manager with their activities upon request;

- Canva or other marketing computer programs.
- Knowledge of basic accounting/budgeting procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.
- Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats and in a timely manner
- Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.
- Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.
- Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
- Critical thinking, problem solving, judgement and decision-making abilities are necessary.
- Proficiency in computer programs like Microsoft Office, Outlook and Windows required.
