RECREATION PROGRAM MANAGER-RECREATION, PARKS, AND FORESTRY DEPARTMENT
Are you passionate about community engagement and recreational activities? We are hiring a year-round Recreation Program Manager to support our community's growing involvement as we serve citizens and community participants of all ages and backgrounds in the city.
As the Recreation Program Manager, you'll be at the forefront of planning, promoting, staffing, and supervising a diverse range of recreational programs. From sports leagues to arts and crafts workshops and educational opportunities. This candidate will be responsible for the recruiting, selection, training, scheduling and supervision of staff for recreational programs sponsored by the Parks & Recreation Department.
The Recreation Program Manager will keep current on the latest in program design and technique for recreational programs and liaison for community sport clubs as well as community planning as a representative of the city. They will also complete promotion of aquatics, recreation, and enrichment programming within the community through speaking engagements, social media, local newspapers, and other suitable means. Responsibilities will also include preparation of program attendance, revenue, maintenance and other pertinent records and assistance in preparing an annual budget and program goals for review by the Director. Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with degree in recreation, physical education, or related field with progressive supervisory experience in a recreational setting.

This is a full-time salaried position with hours Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30 pm, occasional evening meetings as needed
