Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as defined by the Maintenance Supervisor or Director.
- Performs all work necessary to bring and maintain resort grounds and buildings to a ready condition in a timely manner.
- Cuts and weed eats grass.
- Removes fallen branches & debris from lots and roadsides.
- Leaf removal.
- Cleans grounds and removes litter.
- Shovels snow from walks and entrances into buildings.
- Spreads salt and sand on walk, entrances and roads to prevent ice buildup.
- Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts.
- Drags softball field, volleyball sand pit and beach area.
- Assists with RV move service.
- Performs RV sewer and gray water removal with the use of a honey wagon.
- Helps process firewood bundling for sale.
- Power wash rental units and buildings.
- Complete assigned requests correctly and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with essential personnel.
- Notifying appropriate personnel in appropriate manner regarding maintenance and safety issues.
- Abide by the resort’s safety policies and follow correct, safe work practices.
- Participate in resort training classes and meetings, as required.
Qualifications
- No specific level of education is required.
- No previous work experience is required.
- Efficiency, attention to detail and sense of urgency in completing job tasks.
- An ability to maintain a friendly attitude with members and fellow workers in Maintenance and the other seven departments.
- Excellent customer service attitude.

Required Equipment
- Groundskeepers are required to wear company specified uniform apparel and safety equipment as listed below
- Safety glasses when working with chemicals of any kind or when using equipment such as mowers, hedgers, trimmers, or etc.
- Gloves should be worn when dealing with substances covered by the blood borne pathogen policy.
- Non-skid shoes should be worn at all times.
- Prior to issue of company uniform, clothing worn should be clean, comfortable and not so loose as to cause a hazard when working.
