Paralegal/Legal Assistant

Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Law Firm in Downtown Fort Lauderdale is seeking paralegals and legal assistants to handle both pre-litigation and litigation cases. Successful candidates will be responsible for preparing and managing client’s personal injury cases from inception to trial.

Job Responsibilities:

• Communicating with clients
• Opening client files and claims
• Requesting records and reports
• Reviewing and organizing files
• Filing documents with the Florida E-Filing portal
• Communicating with clerks and judicial assistants
• Scheduling hearings, mediations and arbitrations
• Organizing documents and client files
• Drafting legal and other documents with attorney supervision
• Preparing settlement documents and other correspondence

Job Qualifications:

• Extremely organized, self-motivated, driven and able to work independently or on a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn and utilize the firm’s case management program
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and other programs
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Detail-oriented and ability to meet deadlines
