Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Law Firm in Downtown Fort Lauderdale is seeking paralegals and legal assistants to handle both pre-litigation and litigation cases. Successful candidates will be responsible for preparing and managing client’s personal injury cases from inception to trial.
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicating with clients
- Opening client files and claims
- Requesting records and reports
- Reviewing and organizing files
- Filing documents with the Florida E-Filing portal
- Communicating with clerks and judicial assistants
- Scheduling hearings, mediations and arbitrations
- Organizing documents and client files
- Drafting legal and other documents with attorney supervision
- Preparing settlement documents and other correspondence
Job Qualifications:
- Extremely organized, self-motivated, driven and able to work independently or on a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn and utilize the firm’s case management program
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and other programs
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Detail-oriented and ability to meet deadlines
