Key Responsibilities:
- Document Management: Assist in the preparation, filing, and management of legal documents and correspondence.
- Research: Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case preparation.
- Case Management: Help organize and maintain case files, ensuring all relevant documents are accessible and up-to-date.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and schedule appointments.
- Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, scheduling, and maintaining calendars.
- Trial Preparation: Assist in the preparation of trial materials, including exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Database Maintenance: Update and maintain legal databases and case management systems.
- Compliance: Ensure all legal documents comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Billing: Assist in tracking billable hours and preparing client invoices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Certification: Paralegal certification is a plus but not required.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a legal environment, internships or related experience preferred.
