For this position, the programs are solar and battery storage solutions for homeowners.
The Opportunity…
GRID is seeking an Outreach Marketing Coordinator to work on marketing for solar and battery storage programs for homeowners. The Coordinator will work with and report to the Director of Outreach Marketing, and will focus on project management of marketing campaigns and operational work within the Outreach Marketing function. The team supports 8 regional offices in getting our marketing before potential clients and encouraging interest in our programs.
● Project manage Outreach Marketing campaigns
● Assist in development of new materials for marketing efforts
● Maintain and organize marketing landing pages, and create new pages for campaigns
● Help maintain and update template catalogs of existing marketing materials for regional offices
● Manage translation of marketing into multiple languages
● Collaborate with Marketing Director and regional teams on list selection for selected campaigns
● Help collect client stories and photos or video for future client marketing
● Assist with trainings for regional offices on Outreach Marketing topics
● Other duties as assigned
What you need to bring to this role…
● 2-3 years of experience in marketing roles, preferably nonprofit or service-related
● Strong organizational skills and basic project management skills
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Fluency with some digital tools or platforms, such as: content management systems, web page builders, project/task management apps, video hosting services, design software
● Ability to work collaboratively across teams, with a deep understanding and practice of equity
● Passion for environmental justice, economic justice and an equitable transition to clean energy
*Hired CA candidates must be able to pass a screening for drugs that are illegal in the state of California, including: amphetamine, cocaine metabolite, opiates, and PCP.
It would be great if you also had…
● Substantial marketing or communication experience in a nonprofit setting
● Expertise using Salesforce or another CRM
● Familiarity using one or more Email Service Providers
● Lived or professional experience with immigrant communities, communities of color, or environmental justice communities
● Graphic design skills a plus, but not required
● Fluency in Spanish a plus, but not required
Where you will sit & the places you may go…
This is a fully REMOTE position working out of GRID HQ in Oakland, CA. The Coordinator may have the option to work from any of GRID's California-based offices for all or a portion of their work week, to be agreed upon with their supervisor. This position may rarely require out-of-town travel to regional offices or for team building exercises, etc.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Hourly pay commensurate with experience within the pay range of ($28 - $35 per hour) plus the benefits listed below.
