Order Entry / Sizer

Type: Part -Time

Salary: $17-18/HR

Hour: Saturday 9 am to 3 pm and Sunday 9 am to 3 pm

What We're Looking For...

A team-oriented employee with good attention to detail to provide review and accurate data entry. This position is responsible for reviewing sales orders by verifying the accuracy of room dimensions, communicating and resolving discrepancies, and entering data for material orders.

In addition to good communication skills, a good fit for this position will be detail-oriented, have good math skills, and ability to complete highly accurate work promptly. The right candidate will additionally possess a sense of urgency in completing their work and take a proactive approach to support their team.

What You'll Do...

• Enter and maintain accurate data in the company database

• Analyze simple floor plan drawings to determine the accuracy of dimension calculations

• Calculate material needs based on diagrams and software evaluation

• Communicate with internal customers

• Discuss customer order issues with managers

• Process payments through the Order Entry system

• Follow up with internal customers to ensure problems and concerns are resolved

• Filing, faxing, scanning, and other administrative support duties assigned

• Superior math skills including understanding of basic area dimensions

• Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Sense of urgency

• Good organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

• Work efficiently with limited direction using independent judgment

What's Required...

• 1+ year(s) of Order Entry / data-entry experience

• Experience within the home improvement industry preferred

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college courses preferred

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ability to learn new software systems quickly

• Typing speed of 35+ wpm

• Bi-lingual a plus
