Position Description
Sensei Wellness is seeking a skilled and experienced Integration Specialist to join our team. The Integrations Specialist plays a key role in the integration of technology and data for Sensei's staff-facing and guest-facing digital experiences. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of data between myriad systems, databases, and sensors; these include Oracle Opera, OpenTable, Book4Time, wearable devices, and IoT devices that require communicating with Sensei's proprietary systems and databases to exchange customer information. The successful candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise, domain-specific knowledge in the hospitality and wellness industries, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Your work will entail analyzing and documenting business requirements; extraction, transformation, and loading of data; transforming data into usable formats; data modeling; data mapping; and development of business logic to control data quality and data types.
Responsibilities
  • Design, map, implement, support, and maintain all integrations for Sensei's technology using SQL and ETL processes in Oracle Integration Cloud.
  • Transform and cleanse data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Help design and maintain an efficient Oracle autonomous database schema for storing customer data to support application development and analytics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and integration needs.
  • Utilize scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of data extraction and transformation processes.
  • Integrate with diverse APIs to streamline data extraction and support Sensei's APEX applications
  • Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data extraction and integration processes.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to data integration.
  • Write and/or maintain up-to-date documentation for integrations, data models, APIs, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in data integration, ETL processes, and database management.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL
  • 2 years of hands-on experience with Oracle autonomous database
  • 1 year of hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud
  • Demonstrated understanding of API standard documentation and data formats such as JSON, XML, Swagger, Postman, etc.
  • Experience integrating platforms and maintaining / troubleshooting integrations
  • Demonstrated experience in data modeling concepts and database administration.
  • Experience in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry and with hospitality applications, specifically: Oracle Opera Cloud, POS Sales systems (Oracle MICROS Simphony), 3rd party reservation system (Synxis, TravelClick, OpenTable), Spa management systems (Book4Time), Hospitality communications systems (Alice)
