Education:
-A Technical or Bachelor's Degree ~ In EHS, Occupational Health, Engineering, Science, Nursing or a closely related discipline is desired. an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
-Additional post-graduate education may contribute towards the desired years of experience.
Skills and Duties:
-An EHS professional who applies established EHS principles, practices, regulations and internal standards, interacts with customers and is solutions-minded in completing EHS assignments.
Project Management:
-Plans and conducts assigned projects.
-Coordinates and monitors activities/projects.
-Assists in planning and monitoring the status of implementation for those assigned to the project. makes judgments regarding the quality of implementation.
-Facilitates the definition of a project scope with stakeholders.
-Estimates and coordinates resources needed to accomplish assigned individual tasks.
-Jointly responsible for achieving the project's EHS targets in support of business objectives.
Technical:
-Applies technical knowledge/skills to EHS programs and systems.
-Benchmarks internally across the organization.
-Participates and/or assists other professionals and management in the application of standard EHS theories, concepts, and techniques.
-Investigates and performs analysis.
-Reports findings.
-Prepares and communicates recommendations and action plans.
-Problem Solving/Innovation: Interprets problems/recommends solutions.
-Analyzes patterns/trends, interprets data and makes recommendations.
-Make suggestions to improve methods/designs/processes.
-Recognizes and implements good ideas/innovations. consistently generates/adopts original solutions to problems and reduces them to practices
-Organizational Interface:
-Establishes contacts with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals.
-Prepares written communication.
-Conveys information effectively through formal and informal documents and meetings with team members, both internal and external to the client, using appropriate communication protocols, e.g. develops proposals. conducts reviews. provides audience-targeted content. prepares project summaries.

-Responsible for achieving or contributing towards EHS targets.
Additional Responsibilities:
-Develops and maintains procedures and standards.
-Coordinates with technical support personnel to conduct EHS assessments.
-Directs the efforts of others such as technicians and outside resources.
-Performs tasks such as assisting in the completion of Requests for Capital Expenditures (RCEs), EHS checklists, project scope documents, risk assessments, etc.
-Assists in the resolution of EHS problems.
-Provides training."

Physical Inventory of chemicals Find and upload SDS corresponding to chemical inventory Hazardous Waste Management Correspondence for Contractor Management Schedule Ergonomic evaluation appointments, Humantech, ADC_Ergo Perform Basic Ergonomics evaluation Coordinate acquisition of equipment Follow-up Ergonomics evaluation General assistance EHS tasks

First month of this person's start:

Physical inventory of chemicals. There are 13 laboratories ranging from small to large storage of chemicals. A lot of time will be spent inside the labs by physically checking the inventory of those chemicals. This individual will be trained on any client-specific matters. Upload SDS to chemical inventory (needs to be able to spell out chemical names). Individual will be provided with appropriate PPE when they deal with hazardous waste on a timely basis.

Education:

Looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (occupational health or industrial engineering, chemistry or biochemistry, etc.,). If the person has certifications in OSHA is highly desirable.

Experience Required:

2 years of experience is sufficient.

Exposure to chemistry or biochemistry is extremely beneficial

Familiarity with SharePoint and Excel is highly beneficial

Must be a self-starter

Must be able to take directions

This individual will be assigned multiple tasks; a generalist attitude is essential.

This is not a Chemist try, even though the individual with Chemistry or Biochemistry is beneficial to understand the chemicals (hazardous and non-hazardous) that are used
