Operations Manager - Comstock Park, Mi

Get Fresh Produce has been in business since 1982 providing fresh produce and other products to restaurants and other end users in the Chicago area. As our Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day oversight:

Essential Functions:

• Provide inspired leadership for the organization
• Recruit, develop, manage and train up the operations team
• Monitor and analyze operations performance and make recommendations for improvement
• Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale
• Ensure the company’s operational procedures, policies, and standards are followed
• Oversee Food Safety to ensure 100% compliance
• Planning, assigning, and directing work
• Collaborate with other Distribution Centers to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to operations
• Coordinates efforts with the Safety department to aid in training, conducting associate observations, updating preferred work methods, conducting accident investigations to determine root causes, and routine safety inspections.
• Ensures contingency systems/practices/protocols are in place to eliminate business disruption.

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience in operations
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Produce Pro ERP software a plus
• Transportation and Warehousing experience in the Food industry
• Strong leadership and people management abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of delivering results and driving operational excellence
• Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and physical
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English, bilingual a plus

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm
• 6th day as need for growth/coverage
• 40 Plus Hours
• Some mandatory Holiday work included
• Comstock Park, MI location, this is an in-person position

Compensation:

• Salary $80,000 - $85,000, based on experience
