This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center three times per week, at minimum
Reporting directly to the Head of Public Charging, the Manager, Network Operations leads cross-company strategies and execution to deploy the necessary infrastructure to enable GM’s sales and customer experience goals. Through internal and external collaborations, this role has a direct impact on driving adoption by creating an integrated network and ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Facilitate and manage cross-functional project teams - identifying key assumptions, collect data and build requisite economic and operational models along with sensitivities to enable thoughtful fact-based decision-making
- Lead EV charging transaction execution through application of strategic, financial, negotiation, and project management skills
- Lead post-transaction partner relationships to ensure proper execution of and accountability for committed deliverables
- Lead business case development for deals, which involves identifying and interfacing with the appropriate internal and external stakeholders
- Evaluate new business opportunities; research industry and value chain dynamics and landscapes
- Focus on improving the customer experience around EV charging for home, public, dealers, and fleets
- Build a strong network of external relationships throughout the EV ecosystem. May include suppliers, consultants, analysts, utilities, and other stakeholders in the EV infrastructure and charging ecosystem
- Synthesize an engaging story based on insights and analyses including building short, clear PowerPoint decks and present quickly and clearly to key decision-makers
- Works with GM Energy team to create solutions for new technologies that support our customers (e.g. fleet, retail) and expand their experience beyond the EV
Additional Description
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5-7 years of experience with automotive OEM - preferably in an electrification-based role, electric vehicle (EV) charging company, utility, or organization focused on EV/customer experience
- Comfortable working in whitespace (new areas/concepts) and open-minded to new and changing approaches to ensure desired solution is achieved
- Ability to work with all levels within General Motors across functional boundaries e.g. finance, purchasing, vehicle development, legal, including senior leaders
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
