ATI Specialty Alloys & Components (SA&C) is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to join our Chemical Operations Division in Millersburg, Oregon. This leadership role will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations and ensuring compliance with ATI Standards, Process Safety Management (PSM) standards, environmental regulations, OSHA regulations, and area/site health and safety policies. The Operations Manager will also play a key role in creating a safe, respectful work environment and upholding ATI's core values. Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership on results based operational performance, ensuring compliance with ATI Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Standards, PSM standards, Environmental regulations, and OSHA regulations.
- Create and maintain a respectful work environment and uphold ATI's core values.
- Support the development, leadership, and implementation of future state strategic direction for Chemical Operations.
- Provide leadership and daily direction for the areas, including daily production execution to plan.
- Provide functional guidance to support teams to meet production, quality, and cost requirements.
- Collaborate with Quality and Technology to produce materials that meet customer requirements.
- Work effectively with Maintenance to ensure safe execution of daily maintenance tasks and shutdowns.
- Drive accountability in the organization.
- Set high standards for Operational discipline and lead the organization in incident investigations to root cause and corrective action completion in a timely manner.
- Coach and develop direct reports and foster a culture of learning and development.
- Collaborate with SA&C, including Supply Chain, Labs, Continuous Improvement, Finance, and Commercial.
- Support business improvement initiatives through leadership and participation in business teams.
- Work effectively with Labor Relations to manage collaboratively in adherence to the collective bargaining agreement.
- Manage recognition programs, layered process audits, and contractor management.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of industrial manufacturing and leadership experience.
Preferences:
- Comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within the manufacturing discipline, including knowledge of lean manufacturing.
- In-depth understanding of how own discipline integrates within the organization.
- Proven experience managing multiple related teams and setting organizational priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical, operational, and organizational issues.
- Ability to impact business results through operational execution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence others internally and externally, including senior leaders.
