The Position
This position is responsible for the gathering and distribution of interoffice and United States Postal Service (USPS) mail, as well as a large volume of packages. As a part of the Facilities Support Services team, this position provides exceptional customer service to the College community and support the Facilities department by processing a wide range of services related to the following areas: printers/copiers/student printing equipment fleet, receiving and shipping, stockroom inventory, material handling and work order processing.

What You Will Do
1. Picks up and delivers mail, parcel post, UPS/FedEx/Amazon and other types of packages to and from the local post office, as well as other vendors to all college locations.
2. Sorts, routes, and collects incoming and outgoing mail and packages from the college, utilizing hand carts and mail vehicles.
3. Operates mail processing equipment for general processing and postage, occasionally sorting, folding, and inserting. Utilizes software to create shipping labels.
4. Receives incoming shipments and ensures that incoming materials/equipment are received in good condition, meet quality standards and the quantity is accurate. May need to utilize a forklift at times to deliver large pallets or packages across the campus.
5. Maintains copier/printer fleets for all campus locations; student printing equipment, supply request,
troubleshooting errors, communicating with vendors, and scheduling service as needed.
6. Assists in the processing of work orders for all college supplies, enters the inventory adjustment and labor hours, and distributes supplies as requisitioned to all college locations.
7. Conducts quality control checks on all incoming print jobs including the verification that items are in good
condition and quantities are accurate; delivers bids.
8. Assists Work Control by answering phones, creating/issuing work orders, placing radio calls, and assisting vendors.
9. Utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) software, converts maintenance
inspection findings into work orders.
10. Follows and utilizes appropriate departmental processes and educates the College community on mail and shipping requirements.
11. Related projects and duties as assigned.
The Successful Candidate Must Have
1. High School Diploma or completion of High School Equivalency Exam.
2. One year of experience providing customer service internally and externally with the general public.
3. Ability to maintain appropriate competency in contemporary computer technology to fulfill the duties of the position.
4. Ability to lift/carry a high volume of packages up to 50 pounds.
5. Valid NJ Driver's License in good standing.
6. Possession of Fork List certification or ability to secure training within one year from the date of hire.
Even Better If You Have
1. Associates Degree.
2. One year of experience in a mail/shipping and receiving, or similar environment that included the use and maintenance of various materials handling equipment.
