About the Role:
Employed through a preferred contingent supplier to support projects on-site or off-site for neurocrine. _
Your Contributions (include but are not limited to):
- We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized person with a passion for science and the ability to quickly learn new lab techniques
- Working under the supervision of a senior scientist you will assist with protein purification and characterization
- You will work with Cytiva Akta protein purification equipment and a variety of characterization techniques
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or other relevant discipline with strong GPA
- Laboratory experience in protein purification including at least some of the following chromatography methods: protein A affinity, ion exchange, hydrophobic interaction, immobilized metal affinity and size exclusion
- Knowledge of standard protein characterization is also desirable
- Experience with standard laboratory instrumentation
- Ability to maintain accurate detailed documentation of experiments essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good multitasking, trouble shooting and deductive reasoning skills
