iXCells Inc. (San Diego) is expanding its In Vitro Assay group. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate who will play a role in our fast-paced R&D team.
Major Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct In Vitro pharmacology experiments for preclinical contract research
- Support research efforts for target identification, target validation, drug screening, hit confirmation, and mechanism of action studies
- Proficiency in data analysis and experiment troubleshooting; accurately interpret data and communicate experimental results internally
- Search and utilize literatures and external resources to support ongoing studies
- Participate in cross-functional collaborations if needed
- Assist with laboratory maintenance
Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, or closely related fields; Master’s degree with working experience is preferred
- Hands experience on molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell biology techniques, such as molecular cloning, cell culture, DNA/RNA transfection, virus transduction, RNA isolation, real-time PCR, immunoblot, ELISA, MSD multiplex assay, cell viability assay, enzyme activity assay, etc.
- Experience in cell culture and/or assay development is a plus
- Able to effectively multitask and advance various projects simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly
- Detail-oriented with excellent organization and record-keeping skills
- Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in MS Office and other software/websites for sequencing analysis and data graphing
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to work in a team-oriented environment. Effectively collaborate across functional teams
