Overview
Independently performs a wide range of functions and tasks, which require vision, leadership, and proficiency in developing, explaining, and supporting policy implementation. Provides general or specialized administrative support to the National Geospatial-Intelligence College (HDN) divisions and programs. Develops pertinent information and provides to the Government POC for communication to varied audiences (e.g., NGA, DoD, NSG, ASG) by extracting and organizing information briefings, read-ahead, and other materials and/or recording and publishing Meeting Minutes with particular attention to detail and quality. May provide other administrative duties listed (scheduling and coordinating meetings, calendars, and events; gathering, inputting, and retrieving electronic data; maintaining files and folders; researching and analyzing information and data to prepare reports, presentations, and papers; and maintaining office supplies), but would be less than 40% of their time.
Responsibilities
Provide support to Community Geospatial-Intelligence Training Council (CGTC) and ASG Training Working Group (ATWG) conference planning and execution. Examples of support include, but are not limited to the following:
Providing support to conferences, as required by the government coordinator, to include scheduling of facilities, scheduling meetings, developing agendas, assisting conference and working group coordinators, and assisting with the overall execution of the conference plan
Prepare Executive Notebooks (briefings, bios, agendas, etc.) prior to the conference
Communicate pertinent information about the conference to attendees before, during, and after, as required by the government coordinator
Provide on-site support for conference registration, creating name badges, manning video projections, set up/coordinate online services, and other event related duties.
Provide support to the development of an after action report and assistance in archiving the event documentation
Be familiar with government policies and regulations for attending and hosting conferences
Provide communications support for the program. Example of support include, but are not limited to the following:
Develop a comprehensive communications plan for the program
Develop and maintain the program’s image and identified
Promote the organization
Clearly articulate the organization’s point of view
Determine methods to best reach the intended audience
Evaluate the plan for effectiveness
Respond for requests for information
Use the full spectrum of communications, including web and social media
Handle external communication, newsletters, reports, etc.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated proficiency to work independently, performing general staff officer duties using general guidelines for desired product. Examples include:
Ability to support studies and assessments
Ability to extract and synthesize complex information to prepare briefing, read-ahead, and other materials
Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office applications and ability to independently develop material using these applications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in business, information management or related field and 7+ years of related experience or 15 years of experience without a degree
Minimum 12 months demonstrated experience writing, implementing and modifying communication plans
Minimum 12 months experience collecting data and conducting problem analysis and resolution
Minimum 12 months demonstrated experience coordinating events working with both internal and external IC partners
Desired
Knowledge of the make-up of the NSG (National System for Geospatial Intelligence) and ASG (Allied System for Geospatial Intelligence), the role of functional managers, and the relationships between NSG member, ASG members, and partners
Knowledge of the DoD Intelligence Training and Education Board (DITEB)
Knowledge of US Military Schoolhouse training programs
