The Office Coordinator coordinates the daily operations of the Laboratory Office and staff. The Office Coordinator will help maintain the daily office schedule, train new office staff, organize the office and help with procedure and workflow development. The Office Coordinator also backs up the Administrative Assistant and assists with billing work ques.

- Registers and orders lab patients and specimens
- Troubleshoot laboratory order issues
- Work que maintenance
- Follow up calls to provider offices regarding laboratory order clarification
- Helps with daily scheduling for office staff assignments
- Primary trainer for new office staff
- Collaborates with the Administrative Assistant to backup duties for nursing homes, drug screen orders, etc
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year experience secretarial or medical office work or equivalent education
- Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must possess basic computer skills and knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email and web browser
- Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
