Job Summary
Organizes and performs all necessary functions related to the operation of the Tutoring Office

Essential Functions
Greets the public and answers the phone. Takes student applications, hires, and completes all aspects of scheduling tutoring sessions. Validates and ensures tutors are qualified. Ensures complete and accurate completion of DMACC, state, and federal hiring forms. Monitors tutoring sessions and ensures quality tutoring services. Schedules tutor orientation sessions. Ensures that all tutors are trained before tutoring is initiated. Keeps training materials up-to-date. Works with departments and faculty/staff to market the services and recruit students. Develops marketing and recruitment materials. Collects and ensures accuracy of tutor timesheets. Completes end-of- semester evaluations. Keeps accurate student and tutor logs per semester. Recruits tutors for virtual Teams sessions. Works directly with program chairs to establish either face-face tutoring in the CTE labs or virtual labs through Teams. Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
Good communication skills. Flexibility and ability to work independently. Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft suite. Ability to work for long times at the computer. Ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of students from diverse backgrounds. Ability to support faculty and DMACC policies and procedures.

Work Hours: 8:30a.m.-2 p.m.. Potential for summers off.
