CCHCS seeks to fill a Permanent/Full-Time Office Assistant (Typing) position in the Medical Services Health Records Center.
Under the close supervision of the Health Record Technician II (Supervisor) or the Office Services Supervisor II, in the Health Records Center (HRC), the incumbent performs duties such as filing, indexing, scanning, uploading, and performing quality assessments of unit health record while maintaining the security and confidentiality of paper and electronic files; and performs a variety of clerical tasks in support of the HRC.
Please note: A Training and Development (T&D) assignment will not be considered at this time .

This position is located in the Health Records Center, Medical Services. This program is tasked with modernizing the way health records are created, delivered, and stored throughout California's correctional health care system in order to improve and enhance patient care.
Management develops and implements staffing models, policies, procedures, and training tools for health records employees. Staff ensures that integrity of patient health records is maintained within the Health Record Center.

Candidates new to CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to appointment followed by department annual TB testing/evaluation thereafter.
