Office Assistant (Part-Time)

As an Office Assistant you will be responsible for providing support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support the physician and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Organize and schedule appointments
• Update and file medical records and insurance reports
• Schedule tests and laboratory services
• Take messages and return patient calls
• Scan documents into charts
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
• Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
• Clean and stock bathrooms, exam rooms and common areas

• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
• Must be able to type efficiently

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
