Position: Office Assistant
Department: City Manager's Office
Salary: $21.82 - 25.26 Hourly
Non - Exempt – Overtime Eligible
Job Summary:

Example of Duties & Responsibilities:
- Help organize and maintain office common areas
- Perform general office duties such as answering phones, customer service, fax, email correspondence, office organization, and run errands
- Cleaning and setting up conference rooms for meetings, ensuring they are presentable and equipped with necessary materials
- Creating and processing certificates and proclamations
- Manage filing system in shared drive and record information as needed
- Handle incoming calls and other communications
- Greet client and visitors
- Coordinate events as necessary
- Maintain supply inventory
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail
- Work in a high-paced environment and effectively handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Understand and follow written and oral instructions
- Experience using Google Drive, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Suite
- Strong communication skills
- Deal tactfully and effectively with staff, participants, and the public
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for acceptable job performance
- Currently enrolled in a college or university majoring in Business or a related field is desirable
