Under direction of the unit Supervisor. Using person centered strategies, will perform general office
support to the unit supervisor and assigned service coordinators. Responsible for accurate typing and
processing a variety of documents which constitute official case records. May be required to use
transcribing equipment. Prepares and maintains charts, files documents, correspondence and or reports.
Assist in inter and intra agency case transfers. Responsible for coordinating appointments and maintaining
schedules. Heavy telephone contact and high degree of accuracy is required in relaying telephone
messages. The work is subject to audit, therefore a high degree of accuracy and conformity to procedure
is required. Monitors, places orders and conducts distribution of office supplies within unit. Prepares
routine statistical reports, maintains logs and is responsible for records control. Copies, collates and
prepares information and packets. Will prepare, mail, sort and distribute correspondence. Participates in
unit meetings. Additional duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school. Ability to type accurately at 55 WPM. At
least two years of responsible office experience required. Ability to integrate and apply person centered
values and principles. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of
staff. Ability to seek creative approaches in conflict resolution and problem solving. Ability to problem
solve in a flexible and innovative manner and acts as part of a team. Good organizational skills required.
Must possess good written and oral skills in English. Experienced on MS Word, Excel, etc. Knowledge
of modern office machines required. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
