Dress for Success Seattle is a nonprofit organization supporting women on their journey to claim their own power and achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and development tools.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Volunteer & Office Coordinator. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for anyone entering our space. They will lead both our volunteer and office logistics and ensure we are recruiting, maintaining, and retaining systems that encourage a robust Office and Volunteer force to further the organization's mission.
This role reports to the Executive Director and is a Hybrid role with M/F remote workdays and T/W/Th in-office workdays. Remote workdays may be adjusted as required/needed by work requirements.
Responsibilities for Office Coordination include but not limited to:
•Manage general office administration tasks, such as answering phone calls and emails, managing vendors, implementing safety plans, ordering supplies, filing, and maintaining office equipment.
•Responsible for maintaining appropriate policies and procedures around emergencies, building management, and other office related needs.
•Answer general inquiries from referral agencies, clients, volunteers, and donors and direct them to the appropriate staff person.
•Responsible for opening and closing the office 3 days per week.
•Contribute to annual reporting to DFS Worldwide and various grants reporting (as requested).
•Assist with program and event logistics, such as registration, setup, and cleanup.
Responsibilities for Volunteer Coordination include but not limited to:
•Implement the Volunteer Management vision for 2024 with a focus on recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervising volunteers for various programs and events.
•Build and maintain community relationships with corporate partners.
•Develop and maintain positive relationships with volunteers and recognize their contributions.
•Coordinate volunteer orientations, trainings, meetings, and recognition events.
•Maintain volunteer database and records, and track volunteer hours and impact.
Responsibilities around team leadership include but not limited to:
•Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture that promotes creativity and effective problem-solving.
•Overseeing training and management of volunteers as needed for Office and program support.
•Collaborating and demonstrating role flexibility in service to what organization needs emerge.
•Support staff and board members with various projects and tasks as needed.
•Delivering on other duties as assigned or required to operate DFS Seattle successfully.
Required skills, capabilities, and experience:
•Strong logistical and coordination experience, ideally with administration, programs, and events.
•Background in office management, administrative, and people coordination experience.
•Able and willing to work with staff, volunteers, clients, and corporate sponsors from a variety of backgrounds, ethnicities, beliefs, gender identities, body shapes, education, economic disparities, and life challenges.
•DFSS welcomes the gender expansive community, including those who identify as female, non-binary, and gender queer so exceptional people skills, able to welcome and encourage people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, beliefs, gender identities, body shapes, and education levels.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google docs, and data management.
•2+ years’ experience coordinating events, programs, and/or administration.
•Professional proficiency in additional languages is a plus!
•Strong commitment to empowering women.
•Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
•Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
