Shared Journeys is seeking a professional, compassionate Office Administrator to provide efficient, accurate and timely operations of administrative tasks in our Shoreline office. We are a nonprofit primarily serving diverse, multi-cultural, developmentally disabled clients in the greater Seattle area.
The ideal candidate will possess a basic understanding of accounting fundamentals as well as excellent office support skills. This position requires someone who can self-direct in an autonomous environment and possesses the ability to assist the team with moving critical items forward while adhering to strict deadlines.
Some of the Key Responsibilities of the Office Administrator:
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounting functions
- Reconciling petty cash accounts
- Inputting payroll data into spreadsheets
- Documentation and reconciling client checking accounts
- Preparing, recording, and delivering bank deposits
What the successful Office Administratorwill have:
- Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in financial management programs, preferably QuickBooks or Quicken
- Associates degree or minimum of two years college level courses preferred
- Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- The ability to identify need, be proactive and work independently and with limited supervision
- The ability to analyze challenges, clarify instructions, identify potential solutions and recommend resolutions
- Demonstrated commitment to promptness in arriving on time, flexing to the business need and responding to inquiries quickly
- Willingness to learn WAC (Washington Administrative Code) and DDD (Division of Developmental Disability) policy
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with diverse populations including developmentally disabled adults
Compensation:
- $26.00 to $30.00 per hour DOE
