IGO Medical Group is currently seeking a Back Office Medical Assistantto function under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor. This is a 40 hour per week position (days Monday through Friday) with a good benefit package including health insurance, vacation/sick time and a pension plan. The salary offered will be commensurate with education and experience.

Position Overview: Provide Back OfficeOB/GYNMedical Assistant functions for busy OB/GYN physician. Directly assist the physician in delivery of patient care.
Education and experience: High school diploma and Medical Assistant certification or diploma. Current CPR card. Must have medical office experience including at least two years of OB/GYNBack Office Medical Assistant experience. Must have electronic health records experience, Epic preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Preparation of exam room and patient chart prior to patient visit.
- Patient intake, including brief interview and vitals.
- Assist physician during patient exam.
- Documentation in patient chart as supervised by physician and nursing supervisor.
- Administration of medications/vaccines as ordered by physician.
- Ensure that patient office visits are conducted following IGO Policies and Procedures including direct patient care, patient education and training, and appropriate and complete documentation in the patient’s medical chart.
- Participation in office regular staff meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
