Role:
As a NMS Administrator, you'll join our Network Engineering and Technology team helping us lead, design and build our digital transformation and define what's next for our business-while working in an organization that's continuously investing in data and systems.
The NMS Administrator will support our current Netcool NMS platform. You will offer solutions that range from user access requests to full troubleshooting and support of application incidents. The candidate should have experience with administering and maintaining an enterprise deployment of IBM's Netcool Suite of products including Object Servers, Gateways, a variety of probes (SNMP, Syslog, TL1, Ping, NFMP and Message Bus) and Webgui/DASH.
You will partner with end users, our internal Data and Digital team and Network Engineering to understand problems/opportunities and provide practical solutions to move the business forward. Our work environment is based on collaboration, a strong can-do attitude, and achieving results.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily support for IBM Netcool system.
- Implement new releases in scheduled change windows following all proper processes.
- Monitor and resolve support tickets submitted through the business application support channels.
- Perform troubleshooting of application & system problems, research the causes and identify systemic problems requiring software changes or updates.
- Importing SNMP MIBs into Netcool Rules based on the Netcool Common Knowledge Library 3.x standards.
- Communicate with end-users on system availability, maintenance windows, and patch releases.
- Modifying existing probe rules to fulfill NOC requests and conform to Crown Castle's monitoring standards.
- WebGUI/DASH Administration including creating Filters, Views and Dashboards
- Participate in user group and individual training, including new user training and continuing education.
- Interact with our internal teams and vendor partners.
- Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Certifications
- BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.
Experience/Minimum Requirements
- Three (3+) years of experience with IBM's Netcool Suite (Object Servers, Probes, Gateways, etc)
- Preferred to have familiarity with Impact Policies
- Experience with administering Linux (RedHat/CentOS)
- Understanding of standard network protocols
- Undrestanding of JSON, API usage and SNMP
- Experience writing probe rules, created WebGUI dashboards, filters and views.
- Scripting experience (bash, python and PERL)
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and work effectively on multiple requests/projects in a deadline-driven environment.

Working Conditions: This is a remote role with the expectation of on-site/in-person collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter. 20% travel may be required.
For New York, Colorado, California and Washington residents the hiring range offered for this position is $73,000- $100,000 annually. In addition to salary, employees are eligible for an annual bonus of up to 15% of annual salary and annual restricted stock. Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive 18 days of paid time off each year and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
