What will you do?
Transfinder, a national leader in student transportation solutions for school districts throughout the United States and Canada, is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and hands-on New Business Sales Manager to lead a team of Sales Consultants in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth. The New Business Sales Manager will have a proven record of success in sales leadership, with a deep understanding of sales processes, metrics, and KPIs. You will be responsible for hiring, training, coaching new hires, and improving the overall performance of the New Business Sales team.
Responsibilities
Sales Leadership:
- Leads, motivates, and coaches, a team of Sales Consultants using the latest sales techniques and strategies to achieve and exceed sales goals.
- Coaches the team on value-added products and benefits to better negotiate against price reduction pressures.
- Hires, onboards, and coaches new Sales Consultants.
- Meets sales and revenue goals by executing a strategically designed sales plan fully supported by the Senior Management Team.
- Leads in-house seminars and workshops to help improve the effectiveness and productivity of the sales team.
- Represents Transfinder at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
KPI Metrics Reporting:
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track team performance.
- Forecasts future sales growth.
- Work with the Senior Management Team to set specific monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Reports on the current state of sales with accurate sales activity.
- Analyze data and generate reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Sales Process Optimization:
- Optimizes current sales systems and processes to improve the success of the New Business Sales team.
- Work with senior leadership to design new and more effective sales strategies.
- Work with the marketing team to devise new and innovative ways to promote company products virtually, in communications, and at industry specific tradeshows and conferences.
- Partner with the Inside Sales Manager on incoming sales leads and pipeline development.
- Identify and address bottlenecks, ensuring a smooth and efficient sales cycle.
Experience – Proof the candidate is an A-player by successfully
- Building, training, and developing a team of A-Player sales pros.
- Monitoring and evaluating sales team members’ progress against stated expectations, and aligning and changing behavior to exceed performance expectations.
- Managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities.
- Understanding the competitive landscape and coaching the sales team to maintain a market leadership position.
- Utilizing CRM to manage team sales tasks, pipeline, and closing data.
- Working within a small to medium size company environment.
- Providing status reports with market feedback to the corporate leadership team.
- Demonstrating strong ability in all aspects of sales leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, or business or related field desired.
- Proven experience in sales leadership with a record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
- Experience in analyzing sales KPIs, sales processes, and implementing improvements.
- Ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Previous experience in hiring, training, and coaching sales professionals.
- Knowledge of the education technology or transportation industry is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with some travel.
Base Salary $100,000 - $130.000 plus commission
Salary is established based on various factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job related knowledge, education and training, skills, and geographic location.
These factors are taken into consideration during the employment offer process.
