Job Description
Role: Network Engineer - Data Center / Operational Technology - Hybrid
Schedule: Hybrid w/ 3 days per week onsite
Location: Portland, OR
Travel: Domestic travel up to 25% (including HQ in Denver, CO)
Pay Range: $130,000-140,000 plus targeted 20% annual bonus (Actual pay within this range will depend on experience)
Type: Full-Time / Direct-hire
We are partnered with a leading digital infrastructure provider seeking a Network Engineer to join their growing team.
You will deploy, monitor, upgrade and support the Operational Technology services & corporate networks. You should have expertise in operating highly available, secure, and scalable networks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage local and wide area networks, as well as other network components.
- Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and similar network devices.
- Continuously monitor network performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and issues proactively.
- Deploy and manage monitoring tools to detect and resolve system issues, ensuring reliability.
- Conduct regular backups, audits, and testing to ensure business continuity.
- Provide advanced technical support for complex network and system-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve intricate network problems.
- Analyze incidents, perform root cause analysis, and develop preventive measures.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on network performance and security incidents.
- Maintain on-call availability for emergency response situations.

Must Have Experience:
- 5+ years of Network Engineering experience in an enterprise or Data Center setting (Operational Technology)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or technology-related field (or 4 years of related experience)
- Experience with Juniper networking technologies (EX series switches or SRX series firewall/gateways ideal)
- Scripting or coding skills in either Bash, Python, Ruby, or other popular languages.
- Self-motivated and ability to prioritize workload across implementation projects
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must pass a comprehensive background screening

Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Cisco networking technologies
- Relevant industry networking certifications such as Cisco CCNP, CCNA, and/or Juniper JNCIA, JNCIP, JNCIE, etc.
- Data Center experience or Operational Technology (OT) experience is a HUGE plus
