The Network Administrator position focuses mainly on the network infrastructure and works with our valued clients daily to resolve complex issues.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients every day to resolve complex issues important to their business objectives
- Build client network infrastructure to deliver a whole solution with a multi-functional team
- Configure, deploy, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices
- Respond to, troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate network-related incidents and problems
- Develop maintenance plans and execute upgrades for network services and devices
- Manage enterprise/end customers within calls and a ticketing platform
Perform other duties as required
Experience
- General knowledge of the OS, a good understanding of Active Directory
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, NAT, VoIP, IP Routing, Switching, VPN, Windows Server
- Experience working with small and medium businesses.
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms
- 2-5 years of experience with enterprise network environments
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and data protocols
- Good understanding of Active Directory
- Basic understanding of virtual networking infrastructure and technologies, including cloud platforms VMware and Azure
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Enthusiasm for technology and a penchant for troubleshooting
- Client-focused individual with excellent communication skills who can communicate network concepts and challenges effectively to both technical and non-technical people
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
- Valid Driver's License and ability to drive to customer locations when required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or certifications in computer science, Information Technology, or related field or two years equivalent experience in a network admin or IT support role.
