ABOUT THE POSITION
- Holistic monitoring of IT hardware and software (network, server, and security systems): analyzes and resolves problems and perform upgrades.
- Ability to make swift decisions and take initiative to achieve tasks and/or goals.
- Resolve helpdesk incidents related to network, server, backup and security systems.
- Supports IBM iSeries server hardware and operating system. Responds to daily operational requirements, monitor system performance, perform upgrades, analyze and resolve problems
- Provides administrative support for various software systems used throughout the organization.
- Develops and maintains data backup and recovery plans with secure off-site storage.
- Assists with support of Windows desktop and laptop computers and related operating systems and applications both in the office and in remote locations. Performs upgrades and patching.
- Completes other related duties as assigned, customary to department and role.

Required Education and Experience
- Associates’ degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a combination of certifications and 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Configuration, installation and troubleshooting of switches, routers and firewalls (VPN, VLAN, ACLs)
- Microsoft OS for servers and workstations
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Virtualization infrastructure (VMware preferred)
Candidates with the following preferred experience will stand out from the rest:
- Experience configuring Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, WSUS
- Proficiency in supporting network hardware, protocols, applications, tools and devices
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Administration (Endpoint Manager, Exchange, Entra, SharePoint, Teams)
- Experience with Proofpoint, Mimecast or other email protections suites
- Experience configuring virtual environments (VMware) and storage
- Experience with backup solutions, replication and retention policies including disaster recovery planning
- Working knowledge of iSeries hardware and OS/400 operating system in a network environment is a plus.
- Experience with security and Next-Gen Antivirius/EDR solutions
- Advanced certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, AWS, Security+, Network+)
- Working knowledge of IT security, system monitoring and networking best practices.
