Quality Manager responsibilities:
- Prepare the Contractor Quality Programs and Quality Work Plans.
- Report to executive management on the performance of the Quality system and make recommendations for improvement.
- Establish and implement a quality system to maintain and improve quality standards.
- Perform Inspections on Incoming Materials and Construction Activities.
- Maintain and update Quality Manuals.
- Prepare and maintain Quality Checklists, forms, and reports.
- The Quality Manager’s sole function shall be to manage all quality matters for the Contract and shall have the authority and organizational freedom to act in all quality matters for the Contractor.
- The Quality Manager shall be responsible for the development, continuous evaluation of the effectiveness, and any subsequent revisions of the QMP.
- The Quality Manager shall not be subordinate to any Contractor personnel that directly perform, supervise, or progress the Work.
- The Quality Manager shall have a direct reporting relationship to the Contractor for the resolution of issues that cannot be resolved between the Quality Manager and the Project Manager and shall have direct access to the Contractor’s upper management levels, which shall be reflected in the organizational chart.
- 8+ years of quality-related experience.
- Experience developing Quality Systems
- Must have knowledge of relevant MTA specs.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9000
- Experience completing Quality audits on relevant vendors.
- Must have previous experience working as a QM on MTA projects.
- ASQ Membership is a plus.
