Mortgage Loan Closer

TaliMar Financial is a reputable direct lender based in San Diego, committed to providing real estate investors unparalleled financial solutions throughout California. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Loan Closer.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a background as a former escrow or title officer or mortgage transaction coordinator, with a keen understanding of the intricacies of the real estate transaction closing process in California.

Key Responsibilities:

-Closing Coordination: Coordinate and facilitate the closing process for residential and commercial loans, ensuring compliance with industry standards and lender’s policies.

-Document Review: Thoroughly review borrower documents to accurately draft borrower Loan Documents and prepare other closing disclosures. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance by thoroughly reviewing each file in closing. Ideal candidate is familiar with basic documentation including: Preliminary Title Report, Lender’s Title Insurance Policy, Promissory Note, Deed of Trust.

-Communication: Act as a liaison between internal teams, borrowers, and external parties to resolve any issues or discrepancies during the closing process.

-Timeline Management: Maintain strict adherence to closing timelines, proactively identifying potential delays and implementing solutions to expedite the process.

-Quality Assurance: Conduct quality control checks to verify that all documents and information are in good order before finalizing loan closings.

-Post-Closing Activities: Ensure the accurate recording of mortgage documents and coordinate the delivery of documents to the loan servicing group.

**To be considered, applicants must be available to work M-F, 8am-5pm PST**

Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as an escrow of title officer, or in a similar role within the mortgage industry.

- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Mortgage Loan documentation, closing procedures, and compliance requirements. Must be familiar with closing procedure in a dry funding state as we only originate loans in CA.

- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and preparing loan documents.

- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify and address issues during the closing process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all parties involved.

- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.

- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while not compromising accuracy or quality of work.
