The Mortgage Loan Closer/Funder is responsible for preparation of closing documents including verification of loan files, titles, and credit reports. Performs final calculations and meets with appropriate parties to acquire closing document signatures. The Mortgage Loan Closer/Funder will ensure compliance requirements in the secondary market are followed. The Mortgage Loan Closer/Funder is expected to work well with others and maintain courteous and professional communications with co-workers and customers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Three plus years of Mortgage Loan-related experience
3. Proficient use of a personal computer
4. Types a net of 60 words per minute
5. Ability to work on multiple files simultaneously
6. Detail oriented with excellent time management skills
7. Analytical and problem-solving skills
8. Excellent verbal and written communication

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

1. Three plus years of secondary market mortgage experience
2. Familiar with bank audit policies and procedures
3. Knowledge of lending-related bank policies, procedures, and government regulations
4. Knowledge of secondary market lending-related bank policies, procedures, and government regulations

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Usual days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.

TRAVEL

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
