Temple View Capital (TVC) is an established, fast growing direct private money lender in the residential mortgage industry. We are growing nationwide and committed to the development and advancement of our employees in the company and industry.

We seek an experienced Mortgage Loan Closer to manage a pipeline of residential Mortgage Loan closings across a variety of product types (short term fix-and-flip, ground-up construction, and bridge loans and longer duration rental finance loans) across retail, wholesale, table funding and correspondent channels. Direct responsibilities include preparing/drafting closing documents and settlement instructions, coordinating closings, acting as TVC’s point of contact for closing activities, reviewing and approving settlement statements and funding worksheets, and ensuring a high standard of quality control and compliance with TVC’s product guidelines.

This role requires collaboration between your peers on TVC’s Closing Team, TVC managers, and third-party vendors to complete closings with a high degree of customer service while adhering to TVC guidelines and policies and procedures. Organization, strong attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communication skills are critical to success in this position.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years’ experience in Mortgage Loan origination operations with direct knowledge of closing workflows for retail/direct, broker and correspondent channels. Experience with Ellie Mae’s Encompass loan origination system is a plus. This opportunity offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Responsibilities

• Receive and review loans cleared to close by underwriting
• Review title documents to insure clearance
• Schedule closings with settlement agents
• Prepare closing instructions and lender closing package for execution
• Review and approve settlement statements from agents
• Review executed documents and authorize funding
• Update systems to reflect closed and funded
• Ensure all loans are closed in accordance with lender guidelines
• Retrieve original executed closing package from closing agent and ensure compliance with lender’s requirements
• Complete necessary documentation to deliver original executed closing package to lender custodian

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or equivalent years of experience
• Mortgage industry and closing knowledge/experience
• Ability to work in fast paced, demanding, and changing environment
• Excellent time management skills
• Multi-tasking is a must, not only for ability to manage many physical tasks/ programs but also manage many different file types/ lenders simultaneously
• Excellent organizational and computer skills, strong working knowledge of MS office, especially Excel
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work efficiently and collaboratively with other departments
• Strong decision making and analytical skills
