POSITION SUMMARY

A Mortgage Loan Closer is responsible for preparing legal and bank required documents for loan closings.  The Mortgage Loan Closer must meet all state and federal regulatory requirements as well as meet the expectations of our customers.  Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position.  This includes maintaining a high degree of accuracy, being good at problem solving and having an ability to stay focused and follow a task to its completion.     

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prepare loan closing documents using the banks loan origination software, currently Ellie Mae Encompass
• Manage a pipeline of conventional and portfolio loans
• Complete and deliver the preclosing disclosure to the borrower within the required regulatory timeframes.
• Monitor the borrower(s) receipt of the Closing Disclosure (If signatures are required)
• Balance the Closing Disclosure with the Title Company prior to releasing the Closing Package
• Ensure accuracy of documents sent to Title Company, including but not limited to borrower names, rate, term and loan type, first payment date and escrow information
• Review Underwriting Conditions to ensure salability of loan and adherence to the underwriting decision
• Request wires from the Wire Department in order to fund loans
• As directed and communicate perform additional tasks determined by your manager

 EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school degree or GED Required
• 1 year of closing experience preferred.
• 2-3 years of Mortgage Industry Experience preferred.
• Ellie Mae Encompass experience a plus
• Sunrise Banks considers combinations of education and relevant work experience
• Superior skill set in the use of the following software applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
